Our New Wood Work Table
It was exciting to get a new wood work table for our Junior school children.  However we discovered it was too big to use and we were lacking in resources. So some children sort Mr Adrian's help to cut the tables down to a reasonable size.  They measured carefully, cut carefully and then sorted through what resources we did have and recorded it all on a clip board. We wondered what else we could use on our wood work table. We explored some options. Some children asked other junior children. Some children looked for information in the library. Some children looked for ideas on the internet using a safe search engine for kids (Kid Rex), and some children looked for ideas in Mr Adrian's shed. We discovered some things we would like ...
- safety glasses
- plastic bottle tops
- plastic lids
- ear muffs
- a vice
- hammer
- some nails
At Fun Friday the children would like to use the wood work table to create all kinds of wonderful things. In order to do this, we thought we could look for some of these things at home that are no longer needed and bring them to school. (Kids ask parents first)! Lets see what we can do.
